Some may say that this is just human nature, and I partly agree. Not everyone is a hero. But bragging about it afterwards is just wrong.

I don't blame him for following his first instinct to run, but the fact that he does bluntly talk about how he would not try to save anyone ever, is pretty bold and in my opinion, it is cowardly. He wouldn't even try to save his own mother? While it takes a certain kind of person to be willing to put themselves in danger for strangers, it takes an entirely different person to not risk themselves for those they love. Typically teachers develop bonds with their pupils and the fact is when you are a teacher, you are responsible for those kids. I'm not saying this guy should have died for them but I don't feel this guy's decision should be defended. Maybe if more people aspired to be heroes, the world wouldn't be so ***** right now.
